ptf 3207A with Dual Vacuum Fluorescent Displays
Introduction

In a number of situations, it is very convenient to be able to display more than one parameter simultaneously, for example display of current time and Position.
The new dual display version of the ptf 3207A allows display of any of the current status screens on a second display, simultaneously with the displaying the existing capabilities on the standard display.
Overview
The high brightness vacuum fluorescent display fitted as standard on the ptf 3207A GNS Time and Frequency Receiver, allows the display of any one of ten status screens, with the ability to select which screen will display as default on power up, together with a comprehensive menu edit system that allows system setup from the front panel keypad. The ten status displays available vary slightly according to the ptf 3207A configuration. They are selectable from four status menu screens, and are listed below:
Screen 1:
1 = DOY HH:MM:SS display
2 = yyyy/mm/dd HH:MM:SS OR dd/mm/yyyy HH:MM:SS OR mm/dd/yyyy HH:MM:SS display
3 = Date and Time display (or countdown display for –TCG version)
Screen 2:
4 = Position Coordinates
5 = Position Status/Dynamics(Hdg+Vel.)
6 = Satellite Status
Screen 3:
7 = IPv4 Data
8 = System Control Loop Information
9 = System Model/Software Version
Screen 4
0 = Ext Phase
Implementation
In order to provide maximum flexibility, screens on the second display are selectable via the standard front panel keypad. In order to switch keypad control to the second screen, the F2 key is pressed when in the standard display status menus.
With control switched to the second display, the keypad is used to select any of the status displays by means of the shortcut keys, or to select which status display will be set as the default, to be used when the system powers up.
Control is switched back to the standard display by use of the “MAIN” or the “MENU” keys on the keypad.
For setting up menu selections, the standard display must still be used, and when in menu setup mode control of the second display is disabled, until a main status screen is once again displayed on the standard display.
